SREDA is the key collaborative agency for REEEP II on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh. Several training workshops were organised to support further strengthening of the institutional capacity of SREDA. Important aspects of the approach included improving efficiency of service delivery, customer orientation and improved processes and information and the promotion of information exchange and cooperation with different external organizations at home and abroad.

In September and October 2019, training Workshops on Project Documents (DPP/ TPP/PDPP) formulation and GOB approval process for development projects were arranged with an aim to enhance the capacities of Officials from SREDA and other relevant Government agencies for project preparation and smooth implementation.

REEEP II supported participation of SREDA, BSREA and CAB in the training programme ‘Advocacy & Policy Influencing (API)” by MDF Global in September 2019. The training was designed and delivered in such a way that the respective organization/participants could play their designated roles in planning and implementation of advocacy strategy and policy shaping.

A training workshop on ‘Policy Formulation, Fund Acquisition and Disbursement’ was arranged for SREDA and Power Division officials in October 2021. This training was designed to provide an orientation on policy formulation, improving the coordinating capacity and a refresher session on developing funding proposal and disbursement.

During the pandemic, several training sessions were organized on business communication skill (September-December 2019) and effective virtual communication (November 2020) for SREDA Officials with the technical support of British Council Bangladesh.
