To engage more people in technical discussions related to sustainable energy, nine webinars were organized in 2021.
Expert policy makers, energy sector experts, private sector, industry associations and academics joined as panelists and discussed the many benefits that energy efficiency offers. They also talked about the numerous challenges, including technical gaps, lack of investment priorities, and communication between different departments of an industry to implement energy efficiency measures. Energy Adviser to the Prime Minister Mr. Tawfiq-e-Elahi Chowdhury, Mr. M. A. Mannan, Honourable Minister of the Ministry of Planning, Mr. Nasrul Hamid MP, Honourable State Minister for the Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources, Secretary to the Power Division Mr. Md Habibur Rahman and Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) Chairman Mr. Mohammad Alauddin joined as panelist in different webinar sessions and shared the various initiatives taken by the government to promote energy efficiency in industries.
